# Project Members

Project Members controls **who can see and act on a specific Project**. Tenant role decides what someone *could* access; Project Members decides what they actually do access.

> Permissions in Codifi are controlled by **Roles-Based Access Controls (RBAC)**, which define what each role is allowed to view, edit, or manage. See [RBAC](/codifi-docs/cross-platform-features/roles-based-access-controls-rbac.md) for the role model.

## Configuring (Web)

To add team members to your Project, click **Project Members** in the left navigation to open the panel.

**Not all users will see your Project by default.**

Some users have access to **all Projects within a tenant**, while others will only see a Project **after they've been explicitly added**. Permissions in Codifi are controlled by Roles-Based Access Controls (RBAC), which define what users can view, edit, or manage.

Click the **+** button to begin adding members. You can select or remove multiple by toggling their name in the list.

Users must first be invited to your Codifi tenant and have accepted their invite before they can be added to a Project.

When you are finished, you will see the Project members as well as their Account Role.

## Using in the Field (Mobile)

Field crews don't configure Project membership from mobile — that always happens on the web. But every Project they have access to (i.e., every Project they were added to) appears in their iPad Projects list when they sync.

Each Record carries an **assignee** — visible as an avatar circle on Record cards in both map view and list view. Crews can:

* **See who owns a Record** at a glance.
* **Reassign a Record** to another Project member by tapping the assignee avatar and choosing a new person from the list.
* **Filter the map and list to "my Records"** to focus on their own assignments during a busy field day.

Newly created Records auto-assign to the creator. If a crew member created a Record under another person's lineage, they can reassign with a single tap.

> If a member can't see a Project they expect to see, the most likely cause is that they haven't been added to **Project Members** for that Project — the PM needs to add them on the web. The mobile app refreshes the Project list on every sync.
