# Quick Reference

#### GPS Capture: Single Point

1. Tap Record → **Draw** → Ensure **GPS** selected
2. Check accuracy → Tap **Commit**

#### GPS Capture: Trace a Line While Walking

Refer to: [Capturing Locations](/codifi-docs/mobile-app/mapping-locations/creating-new-records-with-locations.md)

1. Tap Record → **Draw** → Toggle GPS ON (📍 turns blue)
2. Walk to start → **Add My Location**
3. Walk the path, tapping **Add My Location** at key locations
4. Tap **Commit**

#### GPS Capture: Outline an Area (Polygon)

1. Tap Record → **Draw** → Toggle GPS ON
2. Walk to first corner → **Add My Location**
3. Walk perimeter, adding points at corners
4. Tap **Commit** (shape auto-closes)

#### Manual Placement: Place a Point on the Map

1. In Draw Mode, select **Manual**
2. Drag map to position crosshair over target
3. Zoom in for precision → Tap **Commit**

#### Filter to Show Only Certain Records

1. Tap **Filter button** → Select filter options
2. Active filters shown at top; tap to remove
3. Tap **Clear All** to reset

1. Tap GPS source name in Live Data Bar
2. Find your device → Tap it → **Use as Favorite GPS**

#### Enable Offline Maps

1. Tap your Project's name in the header to open **Project Details** → Tap **Offline Areas** button
2. Tap **Download Offline Areas**
