# Viewing Location Details
Every location you capture stores valuable metadata. Here's how to review it.
#### Opening the Location Panel
1. Tap a Record on the map
2. In the Record Card, tap the **arrow icon** (left side)
3. The **Location Panel** slides in
#### What You'll See
**Header Section:**
* Record name and archetype
* Coordinate search/entry field
* Redraw button
**For Single Points — Details include:**
* **Source** — Which GPS captured this (device name or "Manual")
* **Latitude / Longitude** — Precise coordinates
* **Altitude** — Elevation when captured
* **UTM Coordinates** — Zone, Easting, Northing
* **Modified by / Modified on** — Who last changed it and when
**GPS Sentence Details** (not available for manually plotted points, expandable for technical info):
* **Fix Quality** — How reliable the GPS fix was:
* "GPS" — Standard GPS signal
* "DGPS" — Differential GPS (better)
* "RTK Fixed" — Survey-grade precision (best)
* "RTK Float" — High precision but not fully locked
* **Horizontal Accuracy** — How precise the location is
* **Vertical Accuracy** — How precise the elevation is
* **Number of Satellites** — More satellites = better accuracy
* **HDOP/VDOP** — Technical quality measures (lower is better)
**For Lines and Polygons — Summary includes:**
* Total length
* Total area (polygons)
* Perimeter (polygons)
* Number of points
* Individual point details (tap to expand)
#### Quality Badges in Draw Mode Preview
Look for these badges indicating high-precision GPS:
| Badge | Meaning |
| --------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| **RTK** | Real-Time Kinematic — survey-grade accuracy |
| **Float** | RTK Float solution — high but not fixed precision |
| **DGPS** | Differential GPS corrections applied |
