# Report Tag Conventions

Codifi report templates use **tag conventions** — special placeholders inside Word (`.docx`) or Excel (`.xlsx`) templates that get replaced with real Project data when a report is generated.

This section is the reference for every tag, every property, and every formatting trick the template engine supports. Use it to look up how to pull a specific field, how to format a date, or how to iterate over child Records.
